This afternoon, while Bern was in town at the rugby, the kids and I went for a walk down to see the fishing boats. Not surprisingly, given there was a Highlander rugby match on, every boat was moored at the dock. Obviously some things are more important than money. And fish.
On the way back up the hill, we discovered an apple tree growing by the side of the road, and the kids were delighted to be able to pick a hat-full of their own apples. Which, despite their rosy-looking goodness, did not taste as Grace expected.
Looks like we'll be having apple pie instead.
